I believe him to be a man of his word and that these issues will be rectified. Lotus Restaurant has been serving the local Minneapolis community since 1983 and now we are opened in Maple Grove Our family is dedicated to serving traditional Vietnamese cruise and sharing our culture with the City of Maple Grove. He seemed very sincere in his apologies and in his desire to improve his ordering process and staff response to delays. I offered the suggestions of texting if on-line orders were going to be delayed by more than 10 minutes and also coaching the staff on how to properly deal with waiting customers if there are excessive delays. After getting lit up by other users in the group who apparently love waiting indoors in Minnesota in January for 1/2 hour in the middle of a pandemic, I was contacted directly by the owner, Mr. As I said, I originally rated this dining experience as one star and posted on our local Facebook page about the poor service and long wait. Does the restaurant need to re-examine their on-line ordering? Yes! Does the staff need to be coached in how to deal with excessive delays? Definitely yes. Visit our Minneapolis location: Yoom Nguyen - Owner. I told them that 1/2 hour late was unacceptable and they should not expect a good review. (It was more like four.) Finally at 6:45 we got our food and a cursory apology for our food being late. At 6:35 I asked how much longer it would be and was told there were a couple orders ahead of me. (Remember - Covid-19, distancing, etc.) I then stepped aside to wait for our dinner. I walked in a couple minutes after 6:15 and had to wait a couple minutes for the crowd to clear up in the foyer/waiting area before I could check in. This time we ordered around 5:00 on-line on a Friday and the earliest available pickup was 6:15. Our food has always been available when we came to pick it up. We are not dining in until we get vaccinated, and getting take out has worked out very well for ALL the other Maple Grove restaurants we've ordered from. A great responsive and caring owner changed my mind as to how to rate this experience. Our review of Lotus is quite different this time because of the service and how we were treated by the staff.
